Parenting Skills Group

Join Benjamin Lambert, LCPC in a weekly virtual group that offers practical, skills-based strategies to help you reduce conflict, respond more effectively to big emotions, and strengthen your relationship with your neurodivergent or ODD child, adolescent or young adult.

Less conflict. More calm. Better connection with your neurodivergent or oppositional child or adolescent.

Techniques You’ll Learn

Phase 1: Understanding Your Child’s Brain
Parents gain a clearer, more compassionate understanding of neurodivergence, including ADHD, ODD, and related challenges. This phase explores why certain behaviors occur and how to set realistic, developmentally appropriate expectations.

Phase 2: Managing Big Emotions & Difficult Moments
This phase focuses on responding more effectively to meltdowns, defiance, emotional overwhelm, and conflict. Parents learn practical regulation, coping, and communication strategies that reduce power struggles and escalation.

Phase 3: Building Skills & Structure for Daily Life
Parents learn tools for creating routines, supporting organization and follow-through, and reducing daily stress at home—while encouraging accountability and growing independence.

Phase 4: Strengthening Relationships & Preparing for the Future
The final phase helps parents deepen connection while navigating boundaries, autonomy, and transitions into young adulthood with greater confidence and clarity.
